The Vet Chef is a food truck owned and operated by Kyle Gourlie. I’ve known Kyle since we were kids. We grew up at the same church and both of us ended up in military service. While I served in the US Navy, Kyle chose the Marine Corps. Upon completion of his service, he turned to the culinary arts and eventually started his own business, The Vet Chef.
Kyle’s objective with his food truck business is to support veterans and their families. He’d like to own a fleet of food trucks one day, each operated by a veteran.
I had the privilege of filming content for The Vet Chef as they set out to launch a new website for their business. Shooting in such a confined space can be tricky as I could use little more than my camera. I picked up a new lens to help me out, the Canon RF 15-35mm f2.8. The wide-angle lens allowed me to capture all the action on the truck. It was a blast to watch Kyle and his partner Paul (a Navy veteran) serve their customers.
